Terms of Service

1. Service Description

ownMDM is a self-hosted Mac device management platform. We provide the software; you provide the infrastructure.

2. Account Terms

• –You must provide accurate registration information
• –You are responsible for maintaining account security
• –One person or legal entity per account
• –You must be 18 or older

3. Acceptable Use

• –Do not use the service for illegal purposes
• –Do not attempt to access other tenants' data
• –Do not reverse-engineer or resell the platform
• –Do not circumvent usage limits or billing

4. Data & Privacy

• –Your data remains on your infrastructure (self-hosted)
• –We do not access, sell, or share your data
• –See our Privacy Policy for details
• –Data Processing Agreement available on request

5. Service Level

• –We target 99.9% uptime for hosted components
• –Self-hosted availability depends on your infrastructure
• –We provide best-effort support via email

6. Billing

• –Trial: 14 days, 25 devices, no credit card required
• –Paid plans: billed monthly or annually
• –Cancellation: effective at end of billing period
• –No refunds for partial periods

7. Intellectual Property

• –ownMDM software is proprietary
• –Munki (the underlying engine) is open-source (Apache 2.0)
• –Your data and configurations remain yours

8. Limitation of Liability

• –Service provided "as is"
• –We are not liable for data loss on self-hosted deployments
• –Maximum liability limited to fees paid in the last 12 months

9. Termination

• –Either party may terminate with 30 days notice
• –We may suspend accounts for abuse or non-payment
• –Your data is retained for 60 days after cancellation

10. Changes

• –We may update these terms with 30 days notice
• –Continued use constitutes acceptance
